Chicago Summit 2003

Chicago, the Windy City, my Kind of Town. As close as the Twin Cities are to Chicago, I've only been there once before when I was about 12. Now that I have friends there, I've changed that. In November 2003, Agent 5 was very kind enough to open up his home to me and my wife, show us his incredible collection, and accompany us to Optimo. This was NOT be the last time we hit The Windy City by any means... just the first of hopefully many more visits in the future. Click on the pictures for the full size ones.

Another shot of Agent 5's great mannequin After visiting at Agent 5's place, it was off to Optimo. They're truly a class act! Not only do they know their business and make wonderful hats, but they're wonderful people to boot. Now if I only had 3 heads...

And here I go under the contraption Then it was back to Agent 5's place for some more gear and prop comparisons and pictures. He's got one of the best Raiders of the Lost Ark collections around. I was (and still am) amazed at not only his collection, but his knowledge of the movie as well.

The next day, it was off to the two museums I wanted to visit again since I was 12 years old, the Museum of Science and Industry, and then the Field Museum of Natural History. On the way there, we went right thru a certain adventurer's old school, so it was time to pull out the camera again...
