How does one start?  My name's Michael, but most call me Mike.  I was born December 25th, 1967 (yes, Christmas day...).  Dad was born in the Twin Cities and Mom was from Antigo, Wisconsin.  They met in Chicago and were married on September 2nd, 1950.  After a few years there, they moved back here to Minneapolis.  My Father was full Norwegian whereas my Mother's side is English, Irish, Scottish, French, and there's a little Austrian in there too.   I've also heard from my Mother's side of my family that part of that family line goes back to Captain John Smith!  So that's pretty cool!

My Parents - September 2nd, 1950

They tried for a long time to have kids, but nothing happened.  So they adopted my brother in 1964.  And before you knew it, Mom was pregnant with me!  So how's about 'dem apples?  Since I've lived in Minnesota my whole life, you betcha I'm a true MinneSNOWtan!  And for the record, it's called a hot dish, not a casserole you know.

My parents sadly are both gone.  My Mother passed away May 21st, 1997 at the age of 69.  It was very sudden and a shock to us all.  My Father passed away April 18th, 2001 due to complications from his emphysema.  He was 77.  They'll always be my heroes and I'll never forget them.  I know they're keeping an eye on me...

As for me?  I have "too many irons in the fire" as my Dad would say.  This site should give you an idea of how many damn hobbies I'm involved in.  It's fun, but it's a lot.  Thanks for popping in here and I hope you enjoy the pictures on this site.  Please feel free to email me at:  minnesotajones261@msn.com if you'd like to chit-chat.
